The Fault Lines in Disaster Management: Risk Reduction and Preparedness in Mersin, written by Ulaş Bayraktar, was presented at a webinar organized as part of the project Developing a Model for Data-Driven Disaster Governance in Municipalities, conducted by the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation-TESEV with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ MATRA Fund. Moderated by TESEV Research Director Itır Akdoğan, Ulaş Bayraktar adressed the current state of disaster management in Türkiye and Mersin as well as policy recommendations. He also answered questions from participants during the event. A total of 61 representatives from municipalities and civil society organizations attended the event.
