Improving Gender Responsive Migration Policy Roundtable Meeting

The roundtable meeting was organized as part of the Improving Gender Responsive Migration Policy in Türkiye project, supported by the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul.

The online event began with brief TESEV presentation on the findings of desktop research on existing international, national, and local policies and interviews conducted in accordance with the “do no harm” principle. The event, attended by 28 representatives from municipalities, civil society organizations, and academia, continued with a roundtable session where participants shared their insights and field experiences on areas requiring solutions regarding women migrants. Participants also proposed gender sensitive policy recommendations to ensure the inclusion of women migrants in all areas of life in Türkiye.

The ideas and recommendations developed at the meeting will be compiled in a policy report to be written and published by TESEV.
